ABOUT THE WEST ROANE COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT:

• WRCVFD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fire and emergency protection and prevention in West Roane County. Donations to WRCVFD are tax-exempt under IRS Section 501(c)(3). No members of WRCVFD receive payment for their service.
• WRCVFD is a United Way Partner Agency of Roane County United Way.

  • WRCVFD is working with the Smoke Rise Memorial Park organization to help ensure its success. This park is in memory of the 6 fire fatalities in November of 2005.

• This incarnation of our website is relatively new, having been started in mid-April 2007. It is being developed to be consistent with our Web Site Operational Need Statement:
  
  • WRCVFD needs a web site to be our public face to the world, a place where members and the public can go to find out timely information about WRCVFD and fire safety.
