The 2008 FireFighter of the Year award went to volunteer First Responder Stephen Koren. Koren is an active and effective participant in response calls, training sessions, and meetings. He also actively served on the Board of Directors and the Fundraising Committee. Congratulation, Steve!

2007 FireFighter of the Year award went to volunteer Julie Dvorak. FireFighter Dvorak participated actively and effectively in WRCVFD's response calls, training sessions, and meetings, as well as in the Department's community education, development, and public relations programs. According to Chief Charlie Redwine, factors in her selection were her high number of responses, training events attended, and her extensive helping with development and public education events. Congratulations, Julie!
